• Canada is the birthplace of the blackberry smart phone –if you have owned a black berry at some point in your life, then you probably didn’t know that Canada is the birthplace of the previous popular blackberry. Though the blackberry is not used too much in this day and age, it was still a pretty popular phone back in 2007. It was developed in Ontario, at the research in motion’s office. 

• Canada is home to a number creepy crawlies – this may make you cringe, but did you know that Canada was home to over 55,000 different species of insects? So, if you want to get to the states from Canada, its as easy as taking a quick drive to the Niagara falls and crossing the border. 

Canada holds record for the most gold medals won at the Olympics – if you are a huge fan of Canada, then you will be glad to know that Canada actually holds the record for the most gold medals every won during the winter Olympics. They have won a total of 14 god medals.
